Human Capital Development and Organizational Productivity of Selected Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria

The study aimed at examining the relationship between workplace climate and employees commitment of tertiary institutions in Rivers State. A random sample of 304 was drawn using Krejcie and Morgan approach which consist of the population of 1526 respondents. Five research questions were formulated and nine null hypotheses tested at 0.05 level of significance. Data collection instrument was the use of structures questionnaire. The statistical tools used for data analysis were simple percentage, mean with standard deviation and Spearman’s Rank correlation were used to analyses the demographic data, research questions and hypotheses respectively. It was found that there exist a positive but weak relationship between workplace culture and employee’s normative and the relationship is significant among other findings. Based on the findings it was recommended that efforts should be made by the tertiary institutions in Rivers State to improve on their workplace climate.
